Description

The aviary in the walled garden at Upton Hall is an early to mid-19th century structure made of wrought iron. It has a circular plan and features a blue brick base, which may have been added later. A central post supports an open dome that has a flattened ogee shape and is topped with an elaborate finial. This aviary is part of a group of garden structures within the walled garden of Upton Hall, which also includes the Church of St Michael and a Gothic arch.
