Description

The aviary located at the south-west entrance to the Arboretum in Nottingham was built in 1889. It is a structure made of cast iron and wrought iron, featuring a renewed wire netting cover. The aviary is circular in shape, with a central pier and arch braces that support straight ribs, creating a low pitched roof. The outer ring consists of round posts that are linked at the top by an iron lintel.
