Description
Church Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The east range is timber framed with brick infill and has been refaced on the east elevation. The northwest wing is constructed of 18th-century brick, while the western parts are made of 19th-century brick. The building features an old tile roof and a central brick chimney. It is two storeys high and has a moulded brick plinth.
On the east elevation, there are four small two-light upper casement windows, a central four-flush panel door with a glazed top panel containing small panes, and flanking three-light casements. The south gable displays exposed timbers and has two-light windows on the first floor and in the attic. To the right, there is a one-storey wing with a modern addition in front, and an old tile roof that links the house with the barn. The north gable is brick-faced, featuring three-light casements on both the ground and first floors, and two-light windows in the attic.
Attached to the left is the 18th-century northwest wing, which is made of chequered brick and has an old tile roof with a brick chimney at the north end. It has a moulded brick eaves cornice and is also two storeys high with a moulded plinth. The east elevation of this wing has one three-light upper casement, while the north gable has a bay of four-pane wide sash windows and recessed panes in the gable. The west elevation features two 19th-century gables in the centre and an older one-storey wing to the left.
