Description

Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage that was refronted in the 18th century with brick, and subsequently altered in the 19th century, likely by Devey. The cottage is constructed of brick with a tiled roof, half-hipped to the left, featuring an offset chimney to the left gable and a second chimney below the ridge at the right end, both with corbelled heads. The roofline is varied, with eyebrow eaves dormers at each end. It has an outshot open porch and gable in the centre. The cottage is one storey and attic; a door is located to the left of the centre, with a two-light wooden casement window to the left and a three-light window to the right. Three two-light upper windows are also present. The Royal Commission on Historical Monuments records the cottage on page 212.
