Description

Grove House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone, with a brick first-floor band course and dentilled eaves. The roof is tiled, and there are brick stacks on either side. The house is two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The ground floor outer bays have altered windows with 20th-century paired casements and cambered stone heads. The first floor has sash windows with timber lintels. There are three gabled dormers, each with paired casements. The central entrance has a four-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight, set back within a rendered surround. A single-storey, two-bay extension to the left is of brick with a minimal timber frame, a tiled roof, and a small central stack.
