Description

Tingewick Hall is a former rectory dating from 1854. It is constructed of rubble stone with a patterned tile roof, featuring coped gables and moulded kneelers. Tall stone chimney shafts are present on the right-hand gable and flank the central bay. The building is two storeys high with dormers and a central attic space. A moulded string course runs at first-floor level. The window surrounds are of dressed stone with moulded mullions. The main block consists of three bays with a central gabled projection featuring Tudor hood-moulds over the windows; a single light is present to the sides, and a two-light window to the centre of the first floor. A central gabled porch with a pointed arch is flanked by octagonal piers. The outer bays have two-light transomed windows on the ground floor. A similar two-storey extension is set slightly back on the right-hand side.
