Description
Primrose Farmhouse is a house dated 1829, marked by the initials SN and TB on the bricks. The front is constructed of vitreous header brick, featuring red brick dressings and red brick diaper patterns on the upper storey. The openings have gauged brick heads, while the side walls and rear are made of flint and brick. The house has flat eaves and a hipped slate roof, with flanking brick chimneys that have cogged heads. It stands two storeys high with three bays. The windows are renewed 4-pane sash types, and there is a central flush-panelled door that is top-lit, accompanied by a blind fanlight, a semi-circular gauged arch, and a 20th-century flat-roofed brick porch. Above the door is a fire insurance plaque, and to the left is the head of a blocked cellar window. The rear features two bays of 3-light casements with cambered heads; the lower windows are metal and the upper ones are leaded. There is also a central flush-panelled door with a later lean-to wooden porch, and small lean-tos on each side.
