Description
Lesters is a house dating from the late 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with colourwashed plaster and colourwashed brick infill, topped by a half-hipped thatched roof. The building consists of three bays and is 1½ storeys high.
On the left side, there is a single-storey modern addition with a plain tiled roof and two 2-light casement windows. To the right, there is a garage addition, also with a plain tiled roof. The main entrance is located at the right of the centre bay, accompanied by a small window to its right. There is a 3-light casement window to the left of the door and a 2-light casement to the right. The right-hand bays feature two eaves dormers, and between these is a small stair window located under the eaves.
A 16th-century brick stack is positioned between the right-hand bays, with stairs in front, while a left-hand gable stack is also present. Inside, the 16th-century stack includes stone fireplace arches, with a chamfered 4-centred arch on the right side of the ground floor and a depressed arched design on the first floor, both sides. The left-hand ground floor side has a chamfered timber lintel. The interior also features chamfered spine beams. An oven at the rear of the stack projects into the garden and is covered by a thatched catslide roof.
