Description
Pond Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century that has been altered over time. The main part of the house features whitewashed brick at the front, while the rear left bay has a timber frame with brick infill. The rest of the back has been rebuilt and is partly rendered. It has an old tiled roof with chimneys made of thin brick located between the left bays and to the right. The house is one storey high with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are 20th-century barred wooden casements, with those in the attic set in gabled dormers. There is a 20th-century door between the left bays and a blocked arch in the centre bay. The left bay contains a chamfered spine beam, an inglenook fireplace, and exposed timbers in the gable wall. A 20th-century single-storey timber extension projects from the right bay, connecting to a former outbuilding that has been incorporated into the house. This extension is made of whitewashed rubble stone and brick, with a date of 1714 marked in the brickwork, and features 20th-century windows, including a glazed arch in the front gable.
