Description
The building is a former barn located to the east of Thornborough Mill, dating from the 18th century and converted into a dwelling in 1980. It is constructed of rubble stone with a tiled roof and features a 20th-century stack on the right-hand gable. The barn is one-and-a-half storeys tall and has three ventilation slits. The off-centre waggon entry has been infilled with weatherboarding, and there are continuous window strips on the ground and first floors, along with a glazed door to the left. A double glazed door is situated between the left-hand ventilation slits. The building also includes two gabled eaves-breaking dormers with paired casements. To the right, there is a lean-to with a large single pane window in what was formerly a doorway. To the left, a lower range of converted outbuildings is made of brick and weatherboarding, topped with a tiled roof and featuring a rubble stone wall at the rear. The rear of the building maintains the appearance of a barn. This structure is included for its group value.
