Description

Dido's Cave is a small stone building, possibly constructed in 1727 by architect James Gibbs. The front of the building is partly covered in rubble stone and features a semi-circular arch at the center, which has a heavy keyblock. The interior was originally painted but underwent alterations in the late 18th century when it was renamed "The Marchioness of Buckingham's Seat."
