Description
Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the north side of Westlington Lane in Dinton-with-Ford and Westlington. The building is constructed of rubblestone and is colourwashed, topped with a thatched roof. To the left, there is a modern bay made of colourwashed brick, with rendered and colourwashed side and rear elevations, which appears to be a remodelling of an earlier cottage. The main part of the cottage consists of two bays and one and a half storeys. It features three-light casement windows on the ground floor and two eaves dormers, with the left dormer having three lights and the right dormer having two lights. The right gable is plastered, revealing exposed timber principals and a tie beam. There is a brick stack, and another stack is located to the left, between the left bay and the modern bay, which includes a casement window and two-light swept dormers. The entrance is situated at the rear. The right gable is attractively positioned next to Jasmine Cottage, which is located at the corner of the lane.
