Description
Jasmine Cottages is a cottage dated 1762, located in Westlington, Dinton-with-Ford and Wootton Lane. The building is constructed of witchert, which is colourwashed and roughcast, sitting on a painted rubblestone plinth. It has a thatched roof and is 1½ storeys tall with three bays. The central door is flanked by two-light casement windows, with the right-hand pair featuring segmental headed lights. There are three two-light dormers and a left-hand stack. A thatched board porch with a board door is situated at the left gable. The rubblestone stack is painted, and the timber tie and collar are exposed with painted brick infill. To the left of the door on the main front, there is a date plaque inscribed 'IPR 1762' in a frame with a love knot motif above. This inscription may refer to a marriage rather than the actual date of construction, which is suggested to be earlier than 1762.
