Description

The Manor House, along with its attached garden wall and gate piers, is a mid-18th century building with late 18th to early 19th century features. The house is constructed of limestone rubble and ashlar, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It has two storeys and five bays, with projecting quoins. The central entrance features a six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, framed by Doric pilasters and an entablature that includes a triglyph frieze and a moulded triangular pediment. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set in moulded architraves, and there is a projecting band at the first-floor level along with a moulded eaves cornice. The house has end stacks.

The garden wall is made of coursed rubble, approximately 15 metres long and 80 centimetres high, topped with rounded coping. It is interrupted by the gate piers, which stand about 1.5 metres high and feature a moulded base, a moulded band below a plain entablature, and a deep cornice.
