Description
Hardy Grange Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from squared grey gritstone that is hammer dressed, with rubble and ashlar dressings, and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 2 x 1 ½ bay configuration. It has projecting quoins and a plinth. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed 20th-century door set in a plain surround, with 16-pane sash windows in projecting surrounds on either side and on the first floor. The house has stone gutter brackets and banded end stacks. At the rear, there is a central round-arched stair window, with the remaining windows matching those at the front. The left side of the house features a chamfered shallow arch leading to a side door, with two windows to the left on both the ground and first floors, similar to those at the front but with 20th-century frames.
