Description
Hardcastle House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the east side of Thorpe Main Street. It is constructed from coursed grey gritstone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two bays, with quoins at the corners. A central 20th-century door is set in a plain surround and is flanked by 20th-century casement windows, which have slightly projecting plain stone surrounds on each floor. The house also has stone gutter brackets and banded end stacks. It is included in the listing for its group value.
