Description
Tossbeck Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with slobbered mortar, and part of it is roughcast, topped with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features four irregular bays.
On the ground floor, there are windows with chamfered reveals and flat mullions, including small-panel casements with three lights in the third bay and two lights in the fourth bay. The first floor includes a small light in the first bay, a stair window with small-paned glazing in the second bay, and a two-light mullioned window in the fourth bay. There are entrances in the first and second bays, with the entrance in the second bay featuring a gabled porch and a segmental-arched opening. The farmhouse has gable-end stacks and a cross-axial stack.
The rear of the building has irregular fenestration and an attached outbuilding that is not of special interest. Inside, the farmhouse contains fielded-panelled doors and plank and muntin partitioning on the first floor.
