Description
Ellers is a house, likely built in the early 18th century, constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. It features a central entrance plan and has a west elevation that is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with an outbuilding to the right. The windows are fitted with dripstones, sills, and chamfered reveals, featuring flat mullions and small-paned casements, with two lights; however, the second bay on the ground floor has a three-light window. The entrance is marked by a lintel with a sunk ogee and rosettes, and the door is a nine-fielded panel design with a decorative latch plate. The house has a gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack. The outbuilding includes a ground floor entrance and a first floor entrance accessible by stone steps. The left side has a lean-to outshut. At the rear, there is a small gabled projection and casement windows in plain reveals; the central stair window is sashed with glazing bars and horns. Inside, there is a fireplace with a stone corbelled lintel and six-panel doors.
