Description
The curtain wall to the south-west of Middleton Hall is a structure from the mid-15th century, measuring approximately 7 meters long. It is constructed of stone rubble. Although most of the wall has been reduced in height, a section still features corbelling at the parapet on the south side, along with a recessed upper part for a wall passage on the north side. The east end of the wall is squared off to accommodate a gate. Additionally, there is a later lean-to privy on the south side. This structure is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
