Description
Friar Garth Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with an 18th-century bay, situated in Malham. The construction is of slobbered rubble with stone dressings, and the roof is covered in stone slate. The farmhouse has a lobby entrance. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The front of the farmhouse faces away from the road. The left-of-centre entrance has a chamfered surround, and is flanked by three-light chamfered mullioned windows on the ground floor, with two similar windows above. To the right is an 18th-century entrance with a plain surround, and a single-light window on both floors. Gable end ridge stacks are present, with a further ridge stack above the 17th-century entrance.
