Description
This barn, located next to Carrholme Cottage, dates back to 1664 and features some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed from squared rubble with stone dressings and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn consists of four bays. On the left side of the center, there is a waggon entrance with a chamfered surround and a keystone that is inscribed with "T C" (for Thomas Carr), along with plank doors. To the left, there is another entrance with a chamfered surround and a basket-arched lintel, which also has a plank door with strap hinges. On the right side, a late 19th-century entrance features a plank door. There is a chamfered square pitching hole on the upper floor, which has a fixed light. Inside, the barn has king post trusses with V struts.
