Description

The building is a former Friends Meeting House, dated 1864. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and has a Wesmorland slate roof. The two-storey, three-by-three bayed structure has a gable end elevation featuring chamfered rusticated ashlar quoins. The central entrance has a six-panel door with a six-panel overlight. Six-pane sash windows are present throughout. A string forms the base of a pediment-effect cyma-recta coping, within which is a plaque bearing the raised lettering "FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE 1864". An ashlar stack sits atop the apex of the gable. The building was disused at the time of resurvey.
