Description
Lane House Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of ashlar with coursed squared stone and a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features four bays, with the left-hand bays projecting forward. It has quoins and a half-glazed door set within a plain stone surround from the 18th century. To the left of the door is a six-light double-chamfered mullioned window that has a central major mullion and a hoodmould. To the right of the door is a four-light window similar to the one on the left, with a major mullion on the left side, indicating it was originally a six-light window. There is a block of ten steps leading up to a board door on the first floor, flanked by two-light chamfered mullioned windows. To the left, there are two four-light double-chamfered mullioned windows, each with central major mullions. The farmhouse is adorned with shaped kneelers, moulded stone copings, and has two stacks at the ridge.
