Description
Laburnam Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of ashlar and rubblestone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features five bays. The corners are marked by quoins.
Between the third and fourth bays, there is a board door framed by a plain 18th-century stone surround with a cornice. The left-hand bay includes a four-light chamfered mullioned window, while the bay to the left of the door has a tripartite window. Both of these windows are covered by a continuous hoodmould. There is a blocked 17th-century doorway with a three-centred head between these two windows. To the right of the 18th-century door, there is another four-light chamfered mullioned window, although the central mullion is missing. The right-hand bay has a 20th-century tripartite window.
On the first floor, the two left-hand bays have three-light chamfered mullioned windows, while the other windows feature two-light casements in plain stone surrounds. The building has shaped kneelers and stone copings, with an end stack located to the left. Inside, there is a large inglenook fireplace with a segmental arch.
