Description

Appletree House is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Appletreewick Main Street. The building is constructed of ashlar and rubblestone, with a graduated stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has a scattered arrangement of windows. A glazed door is located in the inside of the outer bays. To the right of the left-hand door is a further glazed door set in a chamfered surround with a segmental head. The central bay features a two-light chamfered mullioned window. The right-hand bay of each floor has 18th-century two-light casements set in plain stone surrounds. The left-hand bay has a two-light casement in a chamfered surround on the ground floor, with a three-light double-chamfered mullioned window above. The building has shaped kneelers, a stone coping, and end stacks, as well as one stack to the ridge.
