Description

Smithy Cottage is a cottage dating from 1810. It is built of roughly dressed stone, rendered on the exterior, with a roof of graduated stone slates. The cottage has two storeys and four bays. A 20th-century half-glazed door is located to the left of the right-hand bay. All openings have plain stone surrounds, and all windows are 20th-century casements. A tablet bearing the inscription 'I Bell 1810' is situated to the left of the left-hand bay. An end stack is on the right-hand side, and there are three ridge stacks. The building is included on the list solely for group value.
