Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, constructed of ashlar and rubblestone with a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two stories high and features scattered fenestration, consisting of two bays with a three-bay wing at a right angle on the left side.
On the right side, there is a four-panel door set within a chamfered three-centred arch surround, while to the left, there is a five-light chamfered mullioned window, both of which are beneath a continuous hoodmould. On the first floor, to the left, there is a three-light chamfered mullioned window, and to the right, a one-light chamfered window. The building has end stacks, with one rising to the ridge.
The wing, which is from the 16th century, has modern openings in the left-hand bays. In the right-hand bay on the ground floor, there is a three-light double-chamfered mullioned window, above which is a similar window with two lights.
