Description
Platt is a farmhouse, now a house, likely built in the early 18th century and has been altered over time. It features white-washed rubble with quoins and a stone slate roof. The building has a single-depth, two-unit plan oriented on a north-south axis, facing east, with a lean-to addition at the south end.
The structure is two storeys high and has three windows. On the ground floor, there is a square-headed doorway that is offset to the left of center, with one square four-pane sash window to the left and a pair of similar square sashes to the right. The upper floor contains three similar sash windows. The north gable has a large square corbelled chimney, while the south gable features a lateral gable chimney. The rear of the building has not been inspected.
Inside, the housepart to the right includes two small stop-chamfered beams and an inserted partition that creates an entrance passage. To the left is a small parlour, and behind that is a dairy with stone shelves.
