Description

Austwick Bridge is a bridge that likely dates from the 18th century and was widened downstream in the early 19th century. The upstream side features rubble with an ashlar parapet, while the downstream side is entirely ashlar. The bridge has two spans with segmental arches and triangular cutwaters. A stringcourse runs along the base of the parapet, which is supported by central and flanking pilasters. The parapet is capped with coping and round pillars. The downstream side also showcases chamfered ashlar voussoirs.
