Description
Cottage at Gildersbank is an early 19th-century building with origins dating back to the 17th century. It features a rendered exterior and a stone slate roof, with a central staircase plan. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The central entrance has a plain surround and a four-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. There are two windows on the ground floor and three on the upper floor, all with plain surrounds and sash designs: the ground floor windows have 16 panes, while the upper floor windows have 12 panes. The cottage has a left-hand ridge stack and a right-hand gable end ridge stack. At the rear, there is a 17th-century projecting stair turret. This building is included for its group value.
