Description
Low Thorpe House is a farmhouse that underwent early 19th-century remodelling of an earlier building that consists of two phases of construction. The structure is made of coursed rubble and features an artificial pantile roof. It stands 2½ storeys tall and has two bays, with quoins at the corners. The openings are adorned with sill-like projecting lintels. The central entrance is a 20th-century part-glazed door topped with an overlight that has marginal panes. The ground and first floors have sash windows with glazing bars, while the second floor features blind windows that have recently been opened up as 6-pane sashes. There are end stacks on the building, and it is noted that pigeoncotes were formerly located in the attic. To the right, there is a single-storey range that has 20th-century casement windows and a stone slate roof.
