Description
The building is a former chapel, now used as a stable with a hay-loft above, dating from around 1648 and originally built for Christopher Wade. It was altered for farm use around 1800 when it was reroofed. The structure is made of limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and has a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and features quoins.
The south gable front has a doorway on the left with a moulded ashlar surround and a triangular head, and to the right, there is a recessed single light chamfered window. The east elevation also has a doorway on the left with a moulded ashlar surround and triangular head, and above it to the right is a loft doorway that is accessed by a flight of stone steps, which are now largely collapsed; this doorway also has a moulded ashlar surround. The north gable wall is blank, while the west elevation features two recessed single light chamfered windows.
