Description

Milestone located on the south side of the road, approximately 50 meters southwest of Cowgill Bridge, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and painted white. The milestone features a square plinth with chamfered corners and a semicircular shaft that is inscribed with "S / 9" and has a rounded top. This milestone is part of a series of 11 milestones in this parish.
