Description
This building is a cottage located to the left of Campbell's in Settle, originally a cottage and barn, now an unoccupied cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. The left-hand entrance at the end of the terrace features a plain lintel with a plank door and a 20th-century fanlight. The right-hand entrance also has a plain lintel and a 20th-century door. The ground floor window contains 19th-century sashes with glazing bars, while the upper floor window, which was originally a two-light chamfered mullion, has been replaced by 20th-century casements. There are chimney stacks on the left-hand gable end and the right-hand ridge. The left-hand entrance at road level has a chamfered basket-arched lintel and a plank door.
