Description

1 and 2 Twisleton's Yard are two houses, originally four cottages, dating to circa 1832 and built for James Twisleton. The construction is of slobbered rubble with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises seven bays. Doorways are located in the second, fifth, and between the sixth and seventh bays, each having a plain lintel and doors replaced in circa 1975. Stone sills and lintels are present on five ground floor and seven upper floor windows, all featuring circa 1975 sash windows. Wooden eaves modillions are incorporated into the design. There are two ridge stacks, one on the left-hand gable, and a ridge stack.
