BURTON-CUM-WALDEN WALDEN WEST SD 98 SE 5/30 West Routeron Gill Farmhouse and attached outbuildings 25.3.69 (formerly listed as West Routon Gill Farmhouse, Walden) - II

West Routon Gill Farm on 6" Ordnance Survey map. Farmhouse with flanking outbuildings under one roof. Late C16 - early C17. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. House: 2 first-floor windows. Plinth. Central C19 6-panel door. To left, 1 bay of 2-light double-chamfered mullion windows. To right, 1 bay of 4-light double-chamfered mullion windows with central king mullions. End stacks. To left, added outbuilding with wide opening on ground floor, now partly infilled, under timber lintel with dripstone, and small vent on first floor. To right, outbuilding formerly part of house but with floors at lower level: quoins to right. Ground floor, from left: board door; jamb of mullion window; 4-pane sash window. First floor: blocked 3- light double-chamfered mullion window; small triangular pigeoncote with projecting stone ledges. To right, 2-storey added calf-house, not of special interest.
