5/31 The Cottage, with attached outbuilding to left

GV II

House and attached byre. C17 with later alterations. Limestone rubble, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 first-floor windows. Quoins. C20 glazed door right of centre with chamfered quoined jambs and rebuilt lintel. Byre door to left. Recessed chamfered mullion windows throughout of 2,1,3 and 1 light to ground floor with a large C20 window to right; and 2,1,2,1 and 2 (now 1) lights to first floor. A large ridge stack left, above the left-hand single-light windows which are probably fire windows. The byre appears to be an addition, but the quoins were reused. Interior not inspected at resurvey.
