Description
Park House, along with its area walls, railings, and gate, is a house believed to have been built in 1818. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble with quoins, and features a south return that is slate hung. The roof is hipped and covered with graduated slate. The house is symmetrical, standing two storeys high with three bays. The central entrance has a panelled door set within a corniced wooden doorcase, flanked by panelled pilasters. There is a single sash window on either side of the door and three above, all featuring glazing bars and set in stone surrounds. A central stone chimney is present, and at the rear, there is a semicircular-headed stair window with interlaced glazing bars. The area walls have flat copings, with the returns approximately 5 feet high and the front wall about 18 inches high, topped with railings that have spiked, square-section standards and turned end posts with urn finials. The central gate is a single panel with interlaced decoration.
