Description
Arncliffe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1709, with alterations from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door set within a round-arched ashlar surround on plinths with imposts. The windows have ashlar sills and lintels, with sash windows featuring glazing bars on the ground floor and 4-pane sashes on the first floor. The roof has shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, and there are end stacks.
At the rear, there is a central part-glazed door in an ashlar chamfered quoined surround, with "John Beezon 1709" inscribed on the lintel. The ground floor includes a 12-pane fixed-light window and a 2-light flush-mullion window. On the first floor, there are 2-light double-chamfered mullion windows. A round-arched staircase window features radial glazing bars in an ashlar surround. Inside, the farmhouse has doors with six fielded panels and panelled casings, shutters, and a turned baluster staircase.
