Description

This is a coffin located approximately 3 metres to the south of the chancel door of the Church of Saint Michael and All Angels. It dates from the 13th to 14th century and is made of sandstone. The coffin is hollowed out in the shape of a body, and its cover tapers in plan with chamfered sides. There is a faint outline of a foliate cross on the upper surface of the cover.
