Description
East Under Bank is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations. It is built of coursed rubble and has a man-made slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high. The main range features an east elevation with three bays and quoins. There is a central board door with a three-pane overlight above it. The ground floor has 20th-century casement windows, while the first floor has side-sliding sash windows. There are brick stacks at each end of the building. On the rear wing's north elevation, there are two bays of chamfered mullion windows, although the mullions have been removed from the first floor. At the angle between the two ranges, there is a curved structure that may have originally been a stair turret.
