Description
The farm buildings located approximately 75 metres north-west of Marske Hall date from the early 19th century and were built for the Hutton family. Constructed from rubble with stone slate roofs, these single-storey buildings have a U-shaped plan. The openings feature segmental arches, which were originally adorned with Gothick decoration in the blind tracery of the arch. The main range includes two wide doorways that were originally fitted with leaved board doors, each flanked by windows that were originally 6-pane sashes. The wings on either side project forward, each containing an arched opening at the end, with the left opening now blocked. The right return of the left wing has three arches, while the left return of the right wing has two arches. These buildings are included for their group value.
