Description

Salterwath Bridge is a road bridge located over the River Lune, south of Low Borrowbridge. It was rebuilt in 1824 by Robert Gowling. The bridge is constructed from slobbered, coursed, squared rubble and features segmental copings. The parapets have splayed ends, and there are two segmental arches, each with a span of approximately 4 feet, separated by a cutwater. The roadway is about 20 feet wide, and the parapets stand around 3 feet high.
