Description

Grayrigg Hall is a farmhouse, likely dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble, with some roughcast rendering, and has a slate roof. The east elevation is two stories high and originally consisted of four bays, though the fourth bay is a recessed and lower extension. Windows have flat arches and small-paned casements; ground-floor windows are typically of three lights with a transom, while first-floor windows are of two lights with a transom. Some of the windows are now UPVC replacements, but maintain a similar style. A gabled timber porch covers the entrance to the second bay, and a lean-to re-entrant porch provides access to the fourth bay. Gable end stacks are present. The left return is roughcast and has plain casements. The right return of the third bay features a small-paned casement. A rear lean-to outshuts are also present. The interior remains uninspected.
