Description

Lord's Bridge is a bridge dated 1733, built for Charles, Duke of Bolton. It is constructed of rubble on ashlar foundations and features two segmental arches made of rubble voussoirs with plain archivolts, separated by triangular cutwaters. The bridge has plain parapets and an inscription on the outside of the north-east abutment that reads "C:D:B 1733". At the north end of the carriageway, there are two ashlar gate-piers on bases, which have cornices and ball finials. The southern part of the bridge is located in West Witton Parish.
