Description
New Row and railings consist of six cottages, now five, built in 1834. They are constructed from rubble with stone slate roofs and feature cast-iron railings. The cottages are two storeys high and have six first-floor windows. The building has quoins and five board doors, along with two blocked openings—one in the second bay from the left and another in the centre, which previously provided access to the rear. The windows are four-pane sash style, with stone slab sills and projecting lintels. A plaque located in the centre under the eaves is inscribed "NEW HOUSES 1834" and has a flush slab surround. Stone gutter brackets are present, and there are four chimney stacks located at the ends and between the second and third bays, as well as between the fourth and fifth bays. The railings in front of the terrace feature fleurs-de-lis finials and turned-baluster standards.
