Description
Poplars Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that may have been remodeled from an earlier structure. It features whitewashed brick and flint, with some areas rendered. The building has a steeply pitched pantiled roof, which has replaced the original thatch. It has two storeys and an attic, with an L-shaped plan.
The west facade includes three widely spaced three-light casements with glazing bars on the first floor and four on the ground floor. There is a rebuilt off-centre ridge stack and an internal chimney stack located at the south gable. The south gable also has a two-light attic casement. The east gable has been rebuilt in 20th-century brickwork, while the north gable features a three-light ground floor casement and a blocked attic window. Additionally, there is a blocked three-light mullioned window in the east wall at first floor level, and a pantiled lean-to on the north wall of the east range.
