Description

Hill Grove Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 17th century, which was largely re-clad in the 18th century and extended in the early 19th century. The walls are of brick in a Flemish Garden Wall bond, with blue headers, and feature altered details: the north side has plastered flat arches and stone sills. The roof is tiled, half-hipped at the south end, and has higher eaves at the north end. A south extension connects with the original central section, while a taller north extension is also present. The south-east front has two storeys and three windows. Casement windows are found in the main part of the house, some with small side panes; sash windows with narrow side panes are on the north side. A six-panelled door is set within a 20th-century door frame.
