Description
Tudor Cottage is a house dating from around 1600, which was renovated in 1910. The building features an exposed timber frame with brick infill, primarily in a herringbone pattern. Part of the ground floor has close-studding with flint infill and a brick plinth, while other walls are constructed of brickwork in English bond, with some tile-hanging on the upper floor. The house has a tile roof and consists of a main block with two storeys and an attic, along with a rear wing that is one storey and has an attic, creating an L-shape. The north-east elevation includes three windows, featuring early 20th-century casements, a filled window with diagonal mullions, and decorative cill brackets on the original oriels. The entrance has a boarded door set in a plain frame.
