Highfield Farmhouse is an 18th-century house constructed with brick walls featuring blue headers and flush red quoins. It has a first-floor band and rubbed flat arches, with an outshot built in Flemish Garden Wall bond and tile-hung gables. The roof is tiled. The symmetrical north front elevation has two storeys and three windows, with the middle window being blank. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames, while the east side has Victorian features. The entrance consists of a boarded door in a plain frame, topped with a tiled hood supported by wooden brackets.
